About Rock N Run (tm) : Is a CD compilation of 18 Original Rock Running Songs. Each song has been carefully placed on the song list. What makes me proud is that I think I am the first to come up with this idea and runner's really like the CD! Some even like to download it to their ipod. I have worked long and hard on this project. What people like is that you don't have to go searching for the songs and buy a CD for that one song or pay $.99 cents off a site.. It's been done for you!! History: Came up with the idea while running at Glassboro State (Rowan University), NJ. Back in the 80's we would go out on long runs (12-18) miles and wear radio head phones. When a running song like, "Running Down a Dream" came on, we would get psyched and pick up the pace. I thought to myself, someone should put together a compilation of running songs. So I began searching and listening to songs that had "run" in them. Then I needed a name for the compilation and I came up with "Rock N Run". Then I needed a record company to make the tapes/CD's. I took up p/t job at Sony music in Pitman NJ to see if they could help me. I spent several years working with Sony Music in NY on this project, but it fell through! Like running, I don't give up or quit so I kept searching for a company to help me get the rights to these songs. I finally found a company in NY to grant me permission to use these songs and have paid them. I believe its wrong to download music for free. I love running and have a deep appreciation of music and rock bands!
